Comments:

First edition, first impression of Keynes’ prophetic book, which established his reputation as a political economist. Attending the 1919 Paris Peace Conference as the principal representative of the British Treasury Keynes, fundamentally disagreeing with the Allied policy, resigned from this position in protest of heavy reparations demanded from Germany. The harsh punishment of Germany made the Treaty of Versailles fundamentally unjust, threatening the peace and security of Europe in the decades to come.
